Get ready for a spine-chilling evening of suspense and intrigue as Cheltenham’s literary luminaries, Jackie Kabler and Amanda Reynolds, make a grand entrance at The King’s Arms on Wednesday 13th November, from 5pm. This is a killer opportunity to meet two of crime fiction’s finest!

Tickets are just £10 each and include a glass of fizz on arrival (or a “Zest Fest” mocktail for those who prefer a non-alcoholic twist) plus some delectable canapés showcasing the pub’s seasonal menu. Jackie and Amanda will be celebrating their latest literary masterpieces, ‘The Life Sentence’ and ‘Her Husband’s Lie’, respectively, and will be on hand to chat about their books and answer your burning questions. Cleeve Bookshop will be selling signed copies of both novels, so you can snag a personalised edition to bookmark this special occasion.

Jackie Kabler is a seasoned pro in the psychological thriller realm. With six bestsellers under her belt, including ‘The Perfect Couple’ and ‘The Vanishing of Class 3B’, Jackie’s novels have “vanished” off the shelves in eight languages and sold nearly a million copies. Her career began as a news reporter for GMTV, BBC, and ITV, covering major stories worldwide before she turned to writing.

Amanda Reynolds has also carved out a stellar reputation with her psychological thrillers. Her debut novel, ‘Close To Me’, was adapted into a TV series starring Connie Nielsen and Christopher Eccleston, and aired on Channel 4 and Sundance AMC. With six novels in total and bestsellers across Finland, Brazil, and Poland, Amanda’s latest work, ‘Her Husband’s Lie’, hit the shelves in May 2024.
